ENGLISHMAN leaves it late to get up at 9/2 (early 12/1) Never in doubt EFFIE B saunters home by 7 lengths 7/4f (early 9/4) A pretty strange drift today, but LUCIES DIAMOND just does enough at 16/1 (early 8/1), and our other Saturday selection got the hang of things all too late and was beaten into 2nd at 6/5f. HEAVY METAL, yet another decent winner, getting May off to a good start. 7/4f (early 3/1) 19/05/12 1.50 THIRSK - 5F (CLASS 4) A fair looking contest that could see a surprise. Of those that have run Lady Of The House has the best form and deserves to be favourite. She should run a big race, with two newcomers to watch being, Dusty Storm and Rhagori Aur. A very interesting runner is Melodee Princess. She ran in a class 3 at Ascot on debut, so must have been showing up at home to be pitched in at that grade, and she should run a big race at a big price. 6.40 DONCASTER - 5F (CLASS 5) A big field and many in with chances. Annunciation ran a fine race on debut, but at 6/4 is worth taking on. Another that ran well on debut was Blue Lotus and this one should be in the shake up at the business end. Of the newcomers Blazing Knight looks to have a decent chance on pedigree, whilst others to take note of are Lokis Strike and Delores Rocket.
